How Make Bourbon Spiked Eggnog (The Easy Way)

You don’t even need a cocktail shaker to make this, just a pitcher and your favorite bourbon. There are two reasons why this a safer eggnog to drink:

  1. You aren’t using raw eggs to make your own.
  2. You’re using a store-bought pasteurized eggnog, so there’s far less risk.

I also like to serve my eggnog in some nice clear glasses. You can add a festive touch with cinnamon sticks for garnish if you’d like. Want to make a big batch for a party? You can certainly make several batches by doubling it, then add them to a pitcher. Keep the pitcher in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Buying Bourbon For Bourbon Spiked Eggnog

There are so many varieties of bourbon at liquor stores. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed when you see all of the choices. On top of that there are industry terminology on the bottles to double your confusion. To be bourbon it must be produced in the United States, 51% corn and aged in a barrel.

There are so many different options and you can check out a guide to buying bourbon, but it boils down to your budget and what you prefer. Since you’re mixing it with eggnog, you can definitely get away with a cheaper bourbon. The only thing that matters is what you think of the bourbon that’s inside the bottle – not the label itself.
