You can find the Lil’ Smokies in the refrigerated meat section of your grocery store. They’re usually packaged as 1 or 2lb bags – I used the larger 2 lb bag option for this recipe. If you want to prepare the recipe ahead of time, you can place the tray of wrapped smokies in the refrigerator until you’re ready to bake them.

Most likely, you won’t have any leftovers, but if you happen to have some – just place them in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. They can be microwaved for 1 -2 minutes to reheat.

After they’re done cooking, drain the leftover beer. Preheat the oven to 400º. Wrap a roasting pan with aluminum foil and place a cooling tray on top. This will help with clean up! Working one at a time, wrap each smokies with a half strip of bacon and slide onto a wooden skewer.
