After several trips to our local apple orchard and an abundance of apple cider, I knew we needed to create a cocktail recipe so the adults could get in on the action. Fresh apple cider is one of my favorite fall flavors and it’s the star of this Apple Pie Margarita recipe. Served on the rocks, you’ll love the refreshing fall flavors that come together in this easy cocktail recipe.
Living in the South means we have 85+ degree weather for fall. We try so hard to bring on the fall feelings, but it just isn’t the same when the humidity makes it impossible. So instead of sipping on a PSL and torturing yourself, switch to a transitional drink.
These Apple Pie Margaritas are light and refreshing. They’ve got a smooth finish and they’re perfect to enjoy on a warmer fall day.
Looking for more fall cocktail recipes? Pumpkin Spice Margarita is the sister recipe to this one – make both! Whiskey Apple Cider Punch is a bolder option that’s great for parties. Lastly, Apple Pie Moonshine pays honor to southern roots with grain alcohol.

How To Buy Tequila For Your Apple Pie Margarita
There are so many different types of tequila on the market. Don’t let that intimidate you! While tequila has a long and rich history, the market today makes it easy to purchase without much hassle. You no longer have to suffer from a “cheap burn” that you experienced in your college years. Upgrade your tequila choice and you’ll have better results.
Tequila comes from the blue agave plant. There are two categories: mixto and 100% agave tequila. You want to avoid the mixto versions to keep clear from the “cheap burn” aftertaste. Blanco or Reposado tequilas are a great pick for these Apple Pie Margaritas. You can purchase those types of tequilas and then decide on your price point.
