5 Reasons to Visit Stone Mountain Park | Summer 2017

Stone Mountain Park has changed so much over the years. If you haven’t been to Stone Mountain Park, or it’s been years since your last visit, this Summer is the perfect time to go. The park is so much more than a great hike. We’re already several visits in for the season and we are still discovering more fun each time we go.

I see nothing but smiles on kid’s faces when we go. It’s all about exploring, learning Georgia’s history and simply having fun. Since it’s located less than 45 minutes from Atlanta, it’s the perfect day getaway for the family. Stone Mountain Park has something for everyone, but here’s why Summer 2017 is a great time to go.

Guests can purchase a terrace seat as well for $10+.

Dinosaur Explore Area

Just available for Summer 2017, the new Dinosaur Explore area is very popular with little ones. You can walk through a trail and see life-like animatronics of 14 prehistoric dinosaurs, pet a baby dino and dig for fossils. It’s an Jurassic learning experience that the kids won’t stop talking about. It’s only here for Summer 2017 though!
