Another week, another bumpdate! My little guy is kicking constantly now. I love sitting on the couch at night and feeling his little movements. It really makes me happy.
We still haven’t painted the nursery (for all of you who are paying attention). It’s hard when my energy levels are down and I’ve got a toddler that can’t be around when I paint. Eventually it’ll get done!
In the meantime I’m in baby gear prep mode! I’ve been buying newborn baby clothes for him and washing the hand-me-downs that he is getting from big brother, JP.
My belly is definitely growing as I stay in busy prep mode. Confession: when I flip over at night, I have to grip the sheets to help me flip. My ab muscles are just dwindling right now. Sad, but true.
Proof of my big bump:
I’m also prepping to be the queen of pumping again. When I had JP, I could only pump because he wouldn’t latch. Feedings always took little longer and I was constantly attached to my pump.
Even though I have one of the super fancy pumps, It doesn’t stop it from taking a toll on my breasts. It isn’t comfortable, and the more engorged I am the harder is becomes. I also like to turn the dial up to speed up my flow. My poor breasts are constantly sore from exclusively pumping.
I’m planning to use BeauGen Mom Nipple cushions to help ease the pain of pumping. They are small cups, in the shape of your pump, that are tacky and stick to the inside of the pump. They act as a soft cushion to protect your breasts as your pump pulls out the breastmilk.
They are easy to wash, stay put inside of the pump and are durable to enough to re-use over and over again. They cost $30 for a set.
I’m so happy that there is FINALLY a product that takes the pain out of pumping. They never had this when my son was born and it’s truly a game changer!
To celebrate my 22nd week of pregnancy and the new BeauGen Mom Nipple cushions, I’m going to give a pair out to one lucky reader.
