Get ready for a MAGICAL weekend, Princesses! Run Disney is ready to host the 2016 Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by Children’s Miracle Network. The 2016 theme is the Little Mermaid. I’ve put together a complete guide as a one-stop-shop for all of your needs. Below you’ll find links for waivers, pre-orders, corral assignments and MORE! Good luck, Princesses.
Link to the 2016 race waivers can be found HERE! Kid’s Races, 5k, 10k, Princess Half Marathon and Glass Slipper Participants needs waivers. If you are running the Glass Slipper Challenge, your waiver will include both the 10k and half. Print waivers before your trip to save time at the Expo.
Official Event Guide:
The link to the official event guide can be found HERE! It contains valuable information for each race day and medical advise. I advise every reader to get an official copy at the expo and read through it the night before your race. At the very least, you’ll need to know transportation specifics!
Corral and Bib Assignment:
Your bib number can be found at the bottom of your waiver (see above). Below are the official corrals for the Glass Slipper Challenge and the Princess Half Marathon. If you’re registered just for the 10k or 5k, you’ll find out your corral at the expo upon bib pickup.
If you believe your corral assignment is wrong, contact Run Disney prior to the race weekend.
Dooney & Burke Pre-Order:
Below is the 2016 Dooney & Burke bags for the race weekend. These are available to purchase at the expo. Runners have the opportunity to pre-order the bag HERE. If you do not pre-order you can still purchase a bag, but styles may not be available.
New Balance Queue Sign Up:
To purchase the New Balance shoes, you register online, at their virtual queue, prior the expo opening at 7pm on the day before attending. The link can be found HERE! They’ll assign you a time to return to purchase your shoes. If there isn’t a line, the New Balance website will tell you to go straight to the booth.
Family and friends can track your progress on the course. I highly recommend this for family who plans to meet you at the finish line. Another tip: have your progress sent to your own phone while running. You’ll be able to track your progress easily and double check that you’re keeping the minimum pace requirements.
The link can be found HERE.
I hope everybody has a magical race weekend! Enjoy every mile and make amazing memories. It goes by so quickly. Be sure to share your photos with me on my FACEBOOK page. I will highlight you on my social media pages!
